The facility seeks to recruit qualified and highly motivated staff for the following existing vacancies:

1. REGISTERED NURSE (2 Positions)

Qualifications

For appointment to this grade of Registered Nurse a candidate must:

  • - Have successfully completed a here (3) years pre-service training at Kenya Medical Training College or at any other recognized training institution and have been awarded the Kenya Registered Nurse, or Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse Diploma or Kenya Registered Midwifery.
  • - Be Registered by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
  • - Be in possession of a valid practicing license
  • - Minimum of two years’ experience in the same position

2. CLINICAL OFFICER (2 Positions)

Qualifications

For appointment to this grade of Clinical Officer a candidate must:

  • - Have a diploma in Clinical Medicine or Bachelor Degree Clinical Medicine
  • - Must be registered by the Clinical Officers Council
  • - Holder of a valid practicing License from Clinical Officers Council
  • - At least 2 years working experience as a clinical officer

  • - Ability to get on well with the diverse workforce
  • - Good knowledge in the professional field of specialization
  • - Good communication skills
  • - Empathetic
  • - Good organizational and supervisory skills

3. PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGIST (1 Position)

Qualifications

For appointment to this grade of Pharmaceutical Technologist a candidate must have:

  • - Diploma in Pharmacy from recognized institution
  • - Enrollment with Pharmacy & Poisons Board
  • - Minimum of one-year experience in the same position
  • - Must have a valid practicing license from the Pharmacy & Poisons board

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • - Strong patient service skills.
  • - Excellent knowledge of chemistry and specific drug interactions.
  • - Strong knowledge of medical and biological terminology.
  • - Excellent attention to detail and ability to balance competing priorities.
  • - More than 1 years’ experience in a hospital setting.

4. RADIOGRAPHER (1 Position)

For appointment to this grade of Radiographer, a candidate must have a:

  • - Diploma in any of the following fields; Diagnostic Radiography/Medical Imaging Sciences, Ultrasound, Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy and Digital Medical imaging equipment or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
  • - Served in the grade of Radiographer or in a comparable and relevant position in for at least for two years;
  • - Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

  • - Ability to take instructions
  • - Good organizational and supervisory skills

5. LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST (1 Position)

For appointment to this grade of a Laboratory Technologist, a candidate must have a:

  • - Must be registered and have a valid license to practice from Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologist Board (KMLTTB).
  • - Must be conversant with Laws of Kenya for Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Act CAP. 253A of 2012.
  • - Proficiency in computer package.
  • - Bachelor of Science degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a KMLTTB approved institution.
  • - Prior training on ISO15189:2012 on QMS implementation and worked in an accredited laboratory is an added advantage.
  • - At least two years’ experience in the same position.

  • - Excellent communication skills;
  • - Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders,
  • - Excellent presentation skills.
  • - Excellent coordination and planning skills
  • - Report writing skills: Ability to write complex reports
